Deanna Fanelli, Program Manager
Deanna Fanelli is a Program Manager at SIA and is passionate about women’s economic empowerment, sustainable development, and using GIS in international development contexts. She has conducted comprehensive research on barriers to women’s financial inclusion, designed and developed training materials and curriculums, and led the development of multiple reports and presentations.
Prior to joining SIA, she worked at NASA to map flood-prone areas throughout Central America in support of governments’ natural disaster monitoring and mitigation efforts. She has also supported several projects and campaigns at UN Women-Los Angeles and the University of California National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement.
Deanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Development with minors in Spanish and Geospatial Information Systems from the University of California, Los Angeles. Outside of work, Deanna likes to travel and volunteer at animal shelters.
