Emebet is a consultant with over nine years of combined experience in digital financial services, financial inclusion, impact measurement, and management consulting. She has spent the last six years contributing to the development and progress of financial inclusion and the adoption of digital financial services in multiple markets including Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Uganda. She has worked on multiple agency banking deployments, strategy developments, business process optimization, and impact measurement projects with organizations and stakeholders in the public, private, and development sectors, including the National Bank of Ethiopia, Ministry of Water and Energy, Dashen Bank, KCB Uganda, Equity Bank Uganda, PwC, World Bank, UNCDF, and the Gates Foundation.

Prior to focusing on financial inclusion, she worked as a consultant for EY Ethiopia. Emebet has a background in economics and is currently a candidate to become a Certified Digital Finance Practitioner (CDFP) with the Digital Frontiers Institute (DFI).
